Simulation Summit- Pre Conference Information
The Simulation Summit will be a 4-hour pre-conference on May 21st from 8:30-12:30 pm.
The purpose is to bring together those interested and invested in healthcare simulation activities to discuss challenges, share experiences and resources, coordinate resources, and brainstorm solutions. The Simulation Summit will be coordinated similarly to a World Café and Intensive Workshops to support the community of simulationists. The cost is $50 per person.
Social Networking Reception and Tours for the St. Kate’s Institute of Simulation and Interprofessional Learning (I-SAIL) program is May 21st from 12:30-2:30 pm AFTER the Simulation Summit.
Objectives:
1. Discuss solutions to three simulation challenges with regional simulationists during World Cafe sessions.
2. Apply best practices for simulation concepts during one intensive session.
3. Verbalize the importance of standardizing simulation professional roles and formal recognition by official labor organizations.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and St. Catherine University. The Society for Simulation in Healthcare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive a maximum of 10 hours of Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credit for learning and change.
